Festival of Ideas


The Festival of Ideas is an event hosted by the University of Hertfordshire. Running for two days, it is an opportunity for the institution to demonstrate to their community – on campus and beyond – that they are a place that doesn’t stand still, that breaks barriers, and that drives personal and societal change. Through it, they showcase the incredible range of work the University powers, and the impact that it makes on individuals and the wider community.

We've developed a bespoke identity for the Festival of Ideas, providing standout from other campaign activity during the long lead-in period.

The overall look – titled Packed of Ideas – is designed to be striking, open and accessible to all audiences, and has significant standout in the environment. Thus we used assorted shapes and physics simulations to put emphasis on the event being packed full of new ideas, physics sims to allow for captivating motion in build up and during the event, and yellow and violet to create a striking base and maintain an element of Herts.

*this campaign has only just launched as the festival will take place in May 2024, expect more creative soon.
